16 April 2016 – Akihiro Iwashita at the ABS Annual Meeting

Akihiro Iwashita (KUBS Module Leader and Professor, Slavi-Eurasia Research Center, Hokkaido University / Center for Asia-Pacific Future Studies, Kyushu University) will give a paper at the Association for Borderlands Studies Annual Meeting, being held April 13 – 16 in Reno, Nevada.

His paper, “Featuring a Functional Tool as a Compass for Comparative Border Studies: From the Experiences of Asian and Eurasian Cases”, is part of Panel 28: Reflections on Experiences of Political Boundaries. Akihiro also moderates the panel, with the papers to be discussed by Paul Richardson of the University of Manchester. The Panel runs from 8:00 – 9:30am.
